In love to you my brother

I did not let out a word for many many years.

I keept this like a secret treasure for many years inside of me. I did not
let a word out for years. But now i need my life back and i need to give
away this treasure. I can not keep it any longer for myself only. It has
become to hard for me to be the only keeper. I have to let him go.

Now is the time i like to tell you the whole story. Since it is nearly to
the day ten years ago, my brother, his name is Markus, committed suicide.
I would like to take the chance and present you only some of the picutures
he made.

He was 24 when he hanged himself. He did not leave a word or something else. He
was studying photodesign (kommunikationsdesign) in Essen and his study colleges
made an album with his photographes and dedicated it with love to him. They
said,they realized, that they should take care of each other and that they are
responsible for each other. That is what they learned from.

I love him. I like his pictures very much. They show normal things, but it's
always a different view, which leads you to think about what you see in life.
Maybe it's not like you think.

He worked with different cameras. He also made a camera obscura himself and
took some beautiful pictures with. Mostly he worked with Mamiya (Mamiya 650 for
example, medium format, makes very good pictures).

He likes listening to jazz music. Very often on saturdays, he went to the flea
markets and collected all kinds of lp's with jazz music. Early german musicans,
like, The Can, Grobschnitt, Amon Duül or Weathereport, Keith Jarret, Jan Garbarek,
Tom Waits and many others. John Coltrane was one he liked most. And he liked drinking
tee very much. He had about 20 different types of tee and also liked eating date (Datteln).
I hope i present them in the way they are ment to be and you will see it as a present.
