Anlie and I took a drive up a steep track only for 4x4 vehicles in the mountains of the Natal Midlands. When we reached the summit 2 hours later, we looked down on the most beautiful scenes of nature more or less 300m below us. It was amazing looking around us - no trace of any humans anywhere, just a beautiful landscape. We had lunch and decided to turn back.

Next thing we knew these cattle was coming our way. They obviously have not seen humans in a while and probably thought they were getting a salt lick or something. I tried to speak nicely to them, but they would not budge. Eventually they made way for us and followed us as we stumbled over the veld with my vehicle. We finally got to a gate and Anlie quickly jumped out, opened the gate and let me through. The cattle was close, but we managed to keep them in the camp. It was very amusing, but at least I got a couple of shots in
