To me these animals represent the name perfectly.... Gentle giants! By that I would never advocate they are harmless, they are wild animals and know how to defend themselves, but when I have the camera in hand and I approach these two animals, they bring about a calmness in my soul ... Beautiful to watch and always a pleasure to photograph

I'm working on perfecting a different style for me and will be showing a couple more of these in the near future

I think both Sabine and Alfred are right - the Giraffes has chosen their best face profiles plus the one of the left (which is in fact the one on the right:)) has stuck her tongue so flirtatiously - i'm sure it must be Mrs Giraffe:))

the serene silhouette, the v-shape they create against the sky… it plays into the hands of your new style, and the characteristic spotted fur of the giraffa camelopardalis ; )) suits it perfectly – and vice versa! greetings, sabine. p.s.: love the seemingly different expressions/attitudes of the two: the left one being sweet-tempered and curious, never stopping to chew and work its tongue, while peering benevolently into the camera. the other… seems to be posing for a stern profile mugshot! ; )) greetings, sabine.

They are truly amazing and beauttiful creatures Deryck. I love to see them as they run, even then they look so elegant and beautiful. a superb picture. Keep up the good work.
