I think this is a great photo. Not every photo portrait needs to have the subject dead-centre in the image (unless you want it to look like a passport photo or prison mug shot!). What's most important about this picture is that you get a very good sense of this young lady's character. This is very good work.

A nice portrait, natural and fresh - both of you have talent.
I think the size in landscape and the composition are good: a bit untypically and interesting. Maybe the face could be a bit lighter, the shadow of the flash is soft and still ok.
