Hi Jo,
when the male mounts, he fixates himself with the bill in the front head feathers of the female (I have some pictures of this). I do not like these permanent allegations. If I tell it is real nature, then it is.

could you please explain the relation between this damaged 'nose' and mating?
it rather looks like the tipical damage of an aviary-kept bird...
