Fat old Tree (2)
My recent uploads are from a walk I did last week called 'The Tolkien Trail'.
Author of 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy J.R.R. Tolkien spent a lot of time in this area during the 16 years it took him to write the book. Some of the place names are similar to those in the book and he must have spent time walking the same paths as the ones I photographed.
I didn't see any Elves or Hobbits ... but it is a magical place.

I like the PoV with the shadows falling onto the path, that takes the eye past this fine looking tree into the shot.best wishes,
