Ancient stone haystack

The land, regardless of its extension, was usually equipped with a haystack (typical stone construction) and a cistern, often replaced by a "pylon" of rainwater, covered by a stone slab, to avoid easy evaporation. The farmer rarely slept in the countryside. Her day starts early.
