Ein Gepard in der Maasai Mara. Geparde haben es besonders schwer. Sie sind zwar schneller als alle anderen, aber sie können sich nicht gegen Löwen, Leoparden oder Hyänen verteidigen. Um diesen hauptsächlich nachtaktiven Raubtieren aus dem Weg zu gehen, jagen Geparde meistens tagsüber.

A male cheetah in the Maasai Mara. Cheetahs live a tough life. They may be faster than any other animal, but they are defenseless against lions, leopards or hyenas. To avoid running into these mostly nocturnal predators, cheetahs usually hunt during the day.
