Die Taschen sind gepackt, morgen geht's los nach Zimbabwe und Botswana. Mal sehen ob sie ihre 20.000 Elefanten nicht doch selbst behalten wollen.

Diese Plantage, Oak Alley Plantation, Vacherie, LA, wurde 1839 fertiggestellt. Hier waren Sklaven damit beschäftigt Zuckerrohr anzubauen und zu ernten. Sie liegt malerisch am Westufer des Mississippi und von New Orleans gut zu erreichen.
Wer sich noch in die USA traut, sollte Louisiana nicht vergessen. Der Staat ist wunderschön, und New Orleans hat die beste Küche im ganzen Land.

The mansion of Oak Alley Plantation, Vacherie, LA, was completed in 1839. Here, slaves were busy planting and harvesting sugarcane. It's in a picturesque location on the west bank of the Mississippi and not far from New Orleans.
Whoever dares to still travel to the US shouldn't forget about Louisiana. The state is beautiful, and New Orleans has the best cuisine in the whole country.
