The Offering

At days rest, her simply food, Some bread,, cheese, and a tomato becomes almost like a communion, remind her of the body and blood of Christ. Her willingness to share is over whelming, She might appear to be just a simple farmer, now that her husband has pasted. Her curiosity of me leads into the simple question of my origin. She’s shocked to know I’m from America and not Africa. Her excitement brings out the fact that her daughter lives in Chicago. She thinks as if Every place in America is just on the other side of the hill, She tells me her daughters name. She hadn’t seen her for eleven years, and that she thought she might come home for her father’s death. three years back, but never did. She comment’ that because she works the land, that she is not dumb and talked to her daughter in the internet. The internet seems to be both good and evil in her world.
