The Living Forest (680) : Blackcap
The blackcap is a small bird whose preferred habitat is mature deciduous woodland.
My shot shows a female with a striking reddish-brown cap (the cap of the male is black, hence its name).
This bird is extensively hunted in Mediterranean countries...!!!

German name : Mönchsgrasmücke
Latin name : Sylvia atricapilla
