Teatro Hugo and Ines - Peru/Bosnia

Hugo Suarez was born in Lima, Peru and Ines Pasic was born in Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegowina. Teatro Hugo E Ines was formally established in 1986 and in the years since then, they have played international festivals from Europe to Hong Kong.

Drawing on priciples of mime, dance and puppetry Hugo and Ines transform various body parts into a riot of characters with little more than a handful of props. With a cast of knees, feet, hands and elbows they present "The Adventures of Ginocchio" ("ginocchio" is the Italian word for knee).

I captured the images in the 90ies.
