of hundreds and hundreds of snow geese - imagine the noise ... it was quite an experience !!!!
the Lesser Snow Geese have returned to the countryside around Vancouver where they overwinter on farmed fields - a surprising scene as I drove to Ladner two weeks ago, but they were a bit far away ...

Snow geese breed north of the timberline in Greenland, Canada, Alaska, and the northeastern tip of Siberia, and spend winters in warm parts of North America from southwestern British Columbia through parts of the United States to Mexico.Snow goose populations increased dramatically in the 20th century.

This is really great. Such a big gatherin of Snow Geeses, I have never seen here. My personal highlight is,when I see the Crains (Kraniche) twice a year flying over our city Essen and listening to their calling.Kind regards,

Dort zu stehen, vor allem die Geräuschkulisse erinnert wohl an den Film " Die Vögel" von Alfred Hitchcock.. klasse, großes Kino. Dein Bild gefällt mir sehr gut,bestens fotografiert und gezeigt.
