The monastery of Panayia Hozoviotissa in Amorgos is almost at the highest part of the rock facing all the expanding Aegean Sea in front. It was built in 1017 by the Byzantine emperor Alexius Comnenus.
For those posessing a good pair of legs an evening walk mounting to the monastery would stay a special memory....A cofee and a handmade sweet offered by the tenants is a reward.
