The center of the holy complex of Pura Goa Lawah, the "Bat Cave Temple".
The pilgrims seated down in front of the cave for leaving their offerings and doing their praying.
This is a place for deep meditation for priests, despite seeming impossible to do so amid the chirping, with the hollow cave opening amplifying the noise. Yet, people believe the constant natural high pitches aided in their focus of thoughts.

Only the Brahmins from the top caste have access to the cave with the thousands of bats and the living large python snake.
My companion from the next lower Satria caste, the normal population, all other visitors and tourists are not allowed to enter the cave.

jetzt sehr gut, schönim Bildaufbau. Interessante Story.
Die große lebende Python ist natürlich auch kein großer Anreiz zum betreten der Höhle.
Dass es überhaupt noch Mitglieder der obersten Kaste gibt :-)))

  Pedanda Priester, einige Gelehrte und noch heute die Nachkommen der ehemaligen Könige und Herrscherfamilien in Ubud sind alle der höchsten Brahmana Kaste zugehörig.
  Eine meiner balinesischen Bekannten und enge Angehörige der Familie meiner Freundin Mayang, sie heißt Ida Ayu Udami Devi stammt ebenfalls aus der Brahmana Kaste, wie man es aus dem Namenzusatz "Ida Ayu" sofort erkennen kann.
  Das Kastensystem ist auf Bali nur eine Formsache und im täglichen Umgang in der zwischenmenschlichen Beziehung durch Respekterweisung erkennbar. Auch Eheschließungen in unterschiedlichen Kasten sind auf Bali derzeit möglich.
  Mit dem für uns niederwärtigen System in Indien in das Kastensysten auf Bali keinesfalls gleichzusetzen.
