Red paper cuttings. The most popular element when it comes to Chinese New Year decor is wishes written on red paper cuttings.

Another common Lunar New Year tradition is folding Chinese characters on a strip of colored papers. They do this twice, another set of characters that match the first meaning-wise, then tape them on both sides of the door frame.
Traditionally Chinese people associate the color red with good luck, red is an auspicious color.

In China bringen die Drachen Glück, in Deutschland nennt man Schwiegermütter oder Ehefrauen so :-))))

  Der Drache hat in Asien grundlegend eine positive Bedeutung und eine böse Schwiegermutter nennt man eher wildes Pferd oder schlimmer noch 'ne Hündin.
  Bei uns zuhause in Bangkok aber gilt: Die Persönlichkeitsmerkmale von Menschen, die im Jahr des Drachen geboren wurden, sind: charismatisch, intelligent, selbstbewusst, kraftvoll und sie sind von Natur aus glücklich und begabt. Bei allem, was sie tun, neigen sie dazu, ihr Bestes zu geben und dabei hohe Standards einzuhalten.
