Pacific War Memorial - Remembering Heroes
When heroes have done their part and gone, all that we have left is their legacy of honor and freedom. While we were not fortunate enough to meet any of these heroes, we are tasked to remember them and keep their memory for the generations to come.
Only 2 memorials were constructed in honor of the heroes of the Pacific War. This one on Corregidor Island remembers Filipino and American soldiers who fought side by side during World War II. The other is on Pearl Harbor.
I saw this is a fitting last photo for my series on Corregidor.

Are you going to Japan only for vacation or for longer? Anyway, hope to see new pics from my photographer friend. :-)
