Nilkrokodil am Sambesiufer - Nile Crocodile on the Zambezi Bank
Das Nilkrokodil ist südlich der Sahara in fast ganz Afrika an Sümpfen, Seen und Flüssen anzutreffen. Es erträgt Trockenheit von allen Krokodilarten am besten. Nilkrokodile schlüpfen mit winzigen 21 bis 29 Zentimeter und 60 Gramm. Sie können rund hundert Jahre alt, sechs Meter lang und eine Tonne schwer werden.
The Nile crocodile can be found in swamps, lakes and rivers in almost all of Africa south of the Sahara. It tolerates drought best of all crocodile species. Nile crocodiles hatch at tiny 21 to 29 centimeters and 60 grams. They can live up to a hundred years, six meters long and weigh a ton.
