Monk in Lo Manthang

A young monk eating his lunch before noon. Afternoon, evening and at night the monk only can drink but not eat anymore until the following morning (some monks drink rice soup without chewing it).
During the tour to Mustang city we came close to monks and the abbeys and got told the habits inside the monasteries.
The photo was captured in 1999 and stored in my slides cupboard. After the long time storage the color has changed and some fungus covered the surface of the diapositive. although the result after editing isn't excellent I like this capture for my memories.

The slide photo is scanned by a Nikon CoolScan 5000 ED from Kodachrome 50.
