Many eyes

The English name of this butterfly is Pearly Heath. There are a number of 'Heaths' in Europe the big white area is characteristic for this one.
Like other species of the genus Coenonympha they always settle with their wings closed.

Das ist der Perlgrasfalter, beziehungsweise das Weißbindige Wiesenvögelchen.
Die lateinische Bezeichnung ist Coenonympha arcania.
Dieser Schmetterling ist ein Tagfalter
und kommt aus aus der Familie der Edelfalter (Nymphalidae),
Unterfamile Augenfalter.
