last weekend at the Sakura Japanese cherry blossom festival in Vancouver's VanDusen Gardens .. besides various flutes this musician also played the shamisen ..
The shamisen (meaning "three strings"), is a three-stringed traditional Japanese musical instrument. It is played with a plectrum called a bachi.

The sakura flowers ( cherry tree) blooming was very short this year, due to too much rain and wind. I regret the beautiful pink vision on the trees.
