The kitchen inside a farmhouse in southern Iceland. The equipment is simple the oven used with electricity
and the transformer at the kitchen wall.
Families in Iceland almost always had fish for one of their daily meals. Stewed, boiled, fried, roasted or grilled, fish has been a mainstay in Icelandic cuisine for as long as people have lived there. Delicacies like plokkfiskur, or “mashed fish stew,” kept the locals satisfied during the painfully cold winters.

Was für ein klasse Fotomotiv, aus einer anderen Zeit.
Ja, dass waren noch Zeiten, schön anzuschauen,
aber ich bin froh das es heute sehr viel fortschrittlicher zugeht. :-)

  danke Dir, liebe Ilonka, doch unsere Küche zuhause in Bangkok ist auch nicht viel anders. Zwei Gasflammen-Kocher, zwei Woks, zwei Kochtöpfe, einen Dämpfer, ein scharfes Beil, ein Hackbrett und, ganz wichtig, einen massiven Mörser aus Granit. Das war's! Und meine Frau kocht hervorragende Curries. Liebe Grüße Wolfgang
