We called these "CRUNCHIES" when I was growing up. Could not walk through the woods without running into their webs!

amazing critter! busy at work with at least 4 legs involved… he looks a little like an alien to me, with those two pointed legs on his side (or eyes, or feelers?), and he seems to be pretty sloppy "weaver", too! but as long as the web will carry him – and attract prey – he'll do fine! greetings, sabine.
