Creta Village Fodele
The little village Fodele, west of Heraklion(Creta), is considered to be the birth place of the Greek painter El Greco (Dominicos Theotocopoulos). At the supposed site of his home, a museum has been erected which contains, copies, old books and documents associated with the painter's life. Two of his original works are housed in the Museum of Arts in the city of Heraklion the only original works of the painter in Creta.
