I met this couple at a bazaar, the heat before the noon prayers was already unbearable. They were sitting in the shadow in front of the bazaar's mosque, motionless.

He showed me X-rays of his back.

  Sind es die Jahre der Entbehrung ? Harter Arbeit ? Flucht und Vertreibung aus dem Heimatland, in dem nach wie vor Krieg herrscht ?
  Ich war erstaunt, wie viele afghanische Flüchtlinge im Iran leben. Eine Konsequenz des "War on Terror", wie er euphemistisch genannt wird, nehme ich an. Dabei sind natürlich die schwächsten in der Gesellschaft die ersten Opfer des Krieges. Fruchtbarer Boden für noch mehr Terror, Radikalisierung usw.
