The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was erected in the second half of the 14th century by Franciscan friars, who arrived in Torun just a few years after the city was founded in 1239. The well-preserved monumental Gothic edifice is the third, possibly the fourth, church built on this site.

Sehr schön festgehalten. Da prallen unterschiedliche Architekturstile aufeinander. Mir gefällt in diesem Fall die alte Architektur aber erheblich besser.LG K.-H.

Diese drei Türme und die zwei kleinen dazwischen - die sind schon etwas ganz besonderes... Eine feine Aufnahme!!! Die "Thorner Kathrinchen", ein Lebkuchengebäck, waren früher sehr bekannt - sie gehörten mit zur Weihnachtszeit.... LG!Axel Sand 30/05/2021 19:07
