Canada Olympic Park - Calgary Alberta - Luge Track

This is a photo of the Luge track I took this winter at Canada Olympic Park here in Calgary. I wanted a black and white type of an effect to draw the viewer into the mystique of the whole scene, and to create in their minds the silence being broken in a split second with a Luge speeding down the track with it's blazing colours. I also wanted some colour to add life to create the sense that this track had not been abandoned by the darkness of the night, but at any minute the track could come alive. I hope I achieved both those effects when you look at this photo.
