I agree the Bubble must go would be so much better without.

I agree with Martin. Love the colors. The tips of the butterfly wings are distorted, he seems cramped in the bubble effect. Maybe give him a bit more room even if the bubble leaves outside the crop. The crop the way you have it is great.

Hi Tom, that's an interesting effect you created here! A good picture with good colors and fine light!
Still, I'm not sure if I like the effect. It looks like the butterfly sitting in one of those glas-balls using for to decorate the garden. Maybe he needs a little bit more space so he can fly? I don't know, maybe then it would be just an ordinary picture...
Or did you try to crop at the right and below, making the picture a little more compact?
I hesitated a long time to write a comment but I just had to come back to this picture again and again, and that's what a good picture is for, doesn't it?
Oh, and: Welcome to the fc, a great possibility to show fine pictures and experimenting, but also to discuss them!

    Hi Donna,
Cheers for your comment. I really appreciate it. Am new to this kind of stuff so is good to get one of my first comments posted. I used Photoshop Elements to manipulate the shot slightly. I generally don't like to do this too much but I felt that due to the lack of macro lens, the use of the smudge tool would help to emphasise the Butterfly. Glad you like it.

    Tom,
How beautiful I love the colors and shapness. How did you create the circle effect over the butter fly?
