Bohrfliege, männl., Länge etwa 4mm. Eine Art der Fruchtfliegen der Gattung Urophora der Familie Tephritidae. Die Wirtspflanze für die Larven ist normalerweise eine Distel der Gattung Cirsium oder Carduus. Im Garten fand ich die Fliegen an der Speerdistel, Cirsium vulgare.
