In the basement of a church a group of angels hanging out before the reenactment of the Nativity scene. I had envisioned fidgety kids with crooked wings sunday night around a table of cookies and ice cream. Instead it was teenage girls in the basement greenroom. For me it was a slice of Americana. I felt fortunate to witness this wonderful moment of people being themselves amongst friend.
