Oh, er hat schon einen reich gedeckten Tisch, der kleine Spatz! Eine große Auswahl an Sämereien wird ihm hier geboten! So schön, sein Gefieder leuchtet in fein abgestuften Farbtönen!

Auch bei uns sind die Spatzen schon ganz gierig auf's Winterfutter. Sehr schöne Farben und hat er nicht auch noch ein Körnchen im Schnabel?

: )))))) dragomir vukovic's "seedy" comment made me crack up! and i really do like house sparrows!! they rarely show at our feeders, though, where it's mostly tree sparrows with black specks on their cheeks. and cheeky they are: cheeky, chatty and very quick-witted! last winter, for example, they made me grind my teeth a few times, because right after i'd filled the feeders they would appear (large groups of them!) and start digging through the assorted seeds in search of their favorites. within minutes half of the food was on the ground, which then brought arnie, the nocturnal rat, into the arena – yikes! ; ))) hugs, sabine.
