Sweet Memories in the Chilly Rain of the Highlands

Inveraray, Scotland

A warm welcome on this chilly, rainy day in the Loch Fyne village of Inveraray in the Scottish Western Highlands. The bright red remembrance poppy indicates this visit was around Remembrance Day, which falls on November 11. It is common to see the poppy adorning clothing, human and otherwise, in the UK during early November each year.

The photo was taken in 2012 (on my first visit to Scotland) and makes its first appearance here.
