It is not unusual to see fights between zebra stallions.
But what I saw that early morning at the swamps in Amboselli NP near to the air strip was more than a short fight for dominance,. It was a battle going on between these two stallions who took more then 10 minutes covering an area of several km .They chased each other furiously and fought t’ill blood appeared on their body’s .Strange enough , when the fight ended there was no winner. It ended while both were too exhausted . Although a frequent visitor since more than 2 decades of my beloved Africa , I never witnessed a fight with such an intensity.

Hi Regi,
there is a great dynamic in this shot..and your text about it reflects it just the same.
Until blood, until no one can more, is fought for supremacy in the pack. None of the stallions wants to give in.
And that in front of a beautiful backdrop.
A great wildlife!

  Uli , thanks for the comment , as background amboselli was wet at time when I was there , as a matter of fact , never seen it with so much water.
  Backdrop : Especially the grass water combi gave more value. But there is more to come on this fight , they furiously fought and I have some good shots of them in full hectic of the fight but in the water , coming soon , Regards Regi
