Actually -
this building is next to King's cross.
It is St Pancras Station -
specifically - it is the old Midland Hotel at St Pancras -
probably my favourite building, in the world.

  I wonder whether you came through this railway station on the Eurostar train.
  Incidentally - here is a celebrated painting of the station from the 1880s. (If you can navigate the web address)

  (I have a copy of this painting in my house).
  
  Until the pandemic - there used to be queues of foreign tourists - getting their photographs taken at "Platform 9 1/2" - which, as i understand it, has some connection to the harry potter books, and the Hogwarts express train.
