      Well - we enjoyed ragusa.
      The terrace is next to the church of santa maria della scala - and our (cheap) rented house opened out onto that same terrace. 
      At least one of our guide books said that the old part of Ragusa (Ragusa Ibla) had become, or was becoming, a touristy museum - but I did not find that at all. It is still predominantly local.
