Pla Salid (Trichogaster pectorales) is an expensive fish available in the Thai waters and widely distributed to the coutries areas. This species is the most abundant and most widely distributed at the central region of Thailand especially at the Tambon Mhachai market. Fish are rarely found attacted by any diseases or parasites. They can endure or resist some changes of the environment. Pla salids can spawn all year round or at least twice a year if the brood are healthy enough. This fish is dried in the sun for one day then should get fried and eaten with boiled rice soup.
