maine… where everything is bigger compared to similar "northern places" in europe… "denmark xxl!" was my first thought when visiting. huge pines, huge lobsters, the atlantic twice as cold as the north sea, the roads, the aura of the sunsets, the ice-cream scoops, the distances… everthing!! on the first night of my stay i got bitten by a local mosquito, and guess what – – yep, exactly! my ankle blew up to TWICE ITS SIZE… ; )) – – a ruggedly charming section of the maine coast and a lot different from the sandy stretches of old orchard beach but no less beautiful!! the wood-like rocks/rock-like wood – fascinating!! greetings, sabine.

...a very nice resting point on Cape Elizabeth, nicely composed with the lines running diagonally through the image... just wondering what keep the wood from washing out to sea??
