Lil' Boat in Big City -- San Francisco North Beach

Wenn man von der Innenstadt San Franciscos lange gen Norden an den Piers entlangläuft, kommt man zum North Beach. Eine schöne Ecke, die hier Mitte Januar aber noch nicht zum Schwimmen einlädt. Dennoch eine tolle Gegend, die schon etwas Touristen-"befreiter" ist. Würde man sich von hier umdrehen würden man Alcatraz und die Golden Gate sehen.

If you walk north long enough through San Francisco, you will end up at the North Beach. A nice place to be, a bit too cold for swimming mid-January, but not so crowded and you're able to see Alcatraz and the Golden Gate if you turn around.
