Life in the desert 3

Villages in the desert
Villages spread in the desert look deserted,,depopulated as if ruined by earthquakes or sandstorms posessing none of the blessings of an oasis. At daytime, obviously because of the heat, human presence is scarce and you have to wait for long in order to catch a glimpse of a casual caftan figure crawling in the maze of the ruins and swiftly dissapearing among the gray walls like a rat in his hole. And when night falls only the scarse flickering candle light in the dark can mark the existence of a window or room.
And yet life goes on...

life goes on, and in a way it is so different and in another way so much like everywhere else .... but heat and absence of vegetation have to be so difficult to cope with as well as the isolation ....a splendid capture here of this stark looking place and yes, the details and range of tones are well done !!!season's greetings,
Adele

Looks like a Mont Saint Michel in the desert. But at an eternal ebb tide. Oceans come and go.gr. Jost
