Hughes' Folly

Als „Hughes 'Folly“ wurde die St. Patrick's Cathedral 1858 in New York
verspottet, da der Neubau der Kirche als größenwahnsinnig bezeichnet wurde.
Dennoch beharrte Erzbischof John Joseph Hughes auf seine gewagte Vision,
die schönste gotische Kathedrale der Neuen Welt zu bauen. (Freihand-Foto)
