After a long break (due to intensive work on a project) I took a day off to shoot some photos at this years highlight of carnival (Rosenmontag)

great!! with his spread arms he seems to be parting the gray curtains in front of our viewers' eyes, greeting us with his infectious but unobtrusive merriment, like sometimes the sun greets us in the morning, when we pull open the curtains to our bedroom window ; ))! greetings, sabine.

The joy of carnival, the joy of life .... beautifully expressed in this image .... the light is great, and those bright colours stand out well against the background.
