  The castle is one of the most-photographed in England. For the two or three weeks in early summer - when these flowers come out - the castle "plays second fiddle" to this field. Mark.

  European Union funding allows the field to be given over to this wild flower. It makes for a nice scene.

  Thankyou. It's the prettiest field in Northumberland. I think it is EU financial support which enables this land to be left - for wildflowers. Mark.
