Su di me

Hi all. I found "fotocomunity" by accident and I'm very glad I did! There are some awesome pictures on the site, I can only hope mine "make the grade". Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say.

I live in Lincoln, England, and enjoy photography as a serious hobby. Although I don't have too much time to indulge. This state MUST be remedied!!

Please feel free to comment on anything I post. I only ask that you are not too harsh! Ha! Ha!

I also have a website that is a work in progress and any comments about that are welcomed also.

Regards,

Steve.

My "tools" consist of the following:-

Nikon D300s.
Sigma 70mm Macro lens.
Nikon 70-200mm zoom lens.
Nikon 18-70mm zoom lens.
Nikon SB800 Flash.
Giottos Mono Pod.
Giottos Carbon Fibre Tripod with MH1300 Pro Ball Head.
Various filters, (although I only tend to use a Polarizer).
All the above, and more!, are carried around in or on a Kata 3n1 Back Pack.

Hi to all my 'buddies'. I would just like to say a big belated thank you to all that wished me a happy birthday.
*Note to self* I must sign in more often!

Hi Steve, thank you for your comment on the robin. I have to admit that this picture should really have gone onto my granddaughter, Holly's site. I set her up to take it with my camera but she actually took it! It was too late when I realised what I'd done. The picture was taken at Widecombe-in-the-Moor on a very busy tourist day - the robin didn't care a bit!

Ha, ha, she only walked past because she knew we were having fish and chips later! Thanks for the comment, yes, there is alot to look at in the picture.
    Best wishes,
    Sally

Hi Steve - Thank you for your comments. You're right. I should have cropped in to the flower heads. I've got a lot to learn - but maybe I will if I keep getting tips!
    Many thanks

    Hi Steve,
The colours of the mascarade rose are all on the same bush amazingly! I do love it because they all look so pretty together. Thanks for your comments.
    Regards

    Hi Steve,
You are right, it would make a great jigsaw! I never thought of that. I can imagine trying to find all the flower pieces!
I will try and get a picture of the pond when my gardener has done the grill. He tends to do other peoples gardens in the mornings and then does his own in the afternoons. He is very talented and has good vision bless him!
    Thanks for leaving your comments.

Er.... thank you for your very kind comments..... if I'm doing so well, perhaps I ought not to buy a camera like Sally's after all......!! Actually, my little camera doesn't seem to be giving me the same vibrant colours as Sally's. This rose is considerably darker in 'real life' than it looks here.

HI Steve! Thank you for your comment! Glad she didn't fall through - although the way they jump about on it - it could happen!

Thank you for your comment on my picture of Stourhead Gardens. Could I have got the sky better with my simple camera or does one need to have a better camera - or maybe know a lot more about taking pictures!

IHi Steve. I agreed with Leo I really need to get my act together or otherwise face the bosses of fotocommunity and be repremanded for this misdemeanour.
    Greetings John.

    Hi Steve,
Yes you are right, they didn't last long but I did save 3 for the morning for breakfast!
My daughter cut half the lid off the box, I think she was making it into a time machine. Like they do!
