Scarce Chaser (female)
The scarce chaser is a fairly rare dragonfly and is classified as critically endangered on the “Red List of vulnerable and threatened species”, mainly due to lack of its specific ideal habitat of marshes with high quality water.
My picture shows a female scarce chaser with its typical brown-orange abdomen (the abdomen of the male is blue – see my picture below).
Dutch name: Bruine Korenbout
German name : Spitzenfleck
Latin name : Libellula fulva
