Die Badain Jaran Wüste (China, Gansu Province ) beherbergt die größten stationären Dünen der Welt (ca. 500 m hoch). Während der Winterzeit betritt aufgrund der enormen Kälte niemand (außer ein paar Verrückten ;D) diese Gegend. Außerdem war es auch sehr schwer, eine einheimische Person zu finden, die uns auf dem Weg dorthin begleiten würde... :)
Während dieser Zeit wird die Landschaft durch die Blaufärbung des Sandes aufgrund von Eis und Reif (absolut) einzigartig.

The Badain Jaran Desert (China, Gansu Province ) is home to the largest stationary dunes on earth (ca. 500 m high). During winter usually no one enters the entire area due to the extreme cold. Furthermore it was really difficult to find a native person, who accompanied us on the way there...:) During this season the colouring of the sand, thanks to ice and hoarfrost, makes this landscape unique ...
