Red-flowering Currant
Red-flowering currant is a shrub that originates from the west coast of the United States and Canada (British Colombia).
Since its introduction in the 19th century as a garden shrub, it has become quite popular in European gardens.
The attractive flowers are produced in early spring at the same time as the leaves emerge.
Dutch name : Siertrosbes
German name : Blut-Johannisbeere
Latin name : Ribes sanguineum
