«Piazza del Popolo»
The Piazza del Popolo in Roma, at the foot of the Pincio , was erected between 1816 and 1820 by Valadier, and it is a good example of the Neo-Classical style. It`s a great semicircle adorned with an Egyptian obelisk, two fountains and two Baroque churches.
Another church to the north, Santa Maria del Popolo, dates from the Renaissance.
