irrigation [fight against the drought]

Irrigation is an artifical application of water to the soil and mostly operated in low precipitation areas.

However, the change of climate also brings long terms of dry weather to areas, which never before thought of getting problems with low water supply. The growing crops get weak and won´t save a rich harvest.

So irrigation is an expensive way to save a profit.
