Deine Reaktion gefällt mir. Genau das interessiert mich auch (zum Beispiel an der Kunst), das Unklare. Aber es ist nicht unklar weil man es nicht verstehen könnte, sondern weil es Teil eines Prozesses ist. Da entsteht sozusagen 'fortlaufend' Bedeutung – die Pfeile in diesem Bild als Gedankenstriche mit einer Richtung.

An interesting line of thought, the association with the Olympics and linking it with the idea of the female/male symbolism! It shows yet again that in our valleys of thought there are so many different directions one can take.
This exactly was part of my inspiration for this composition. Two lines of thought (by the same person or by different persons) running parallel in opposing directions combined somehow by two revolving turning circles.
Next to the linear and revolving motion (e-motion ;-) there is also an element of level. The other side of a thought: the recto in relation to the verso, the verso in turn in relation to the recto. Thinking about it, linking my line of thought to your idea of the female/male gives my thinking an interesting turn:

Ich glaube dein Kommentar, ist der erste den ich erhalten habe, der anführt was sein Autor tun könnte, es aber unterlässt. Das passt gut zum Bild, welches die Gegenüberstellung von Konkretem und Abstraktem thematisiert. Ich könnte das jetzt weiter ausführen, tue ich aber nicht ;-)
Du sprichst die/unsere 'Zeichensprache' an, auch darum geht es mir in dem Bild. Wie entsteht Bedeutung, zum Beispiel wenn wir über ein Bild nachdenken? Wir erkennen Zeichen, Symbole, symbolhafte Bedeutung des im Bild Enthaltenen. Komplexer wird es wenn wir anfangen zu assoziieren oder Zusammenhänge erstellen. Die vier Pfeilbewegungen soll dies symbolhaft darstellen.
Wie du richtig erkannt hast, der Rahmen spielt in dieser Serie ein wichtige Rolle, vielleicht ist er deswegen (unbewusster Weise) so 'fett' geraten? Auch dies ein Enigma?

this may sound prosaic but hey, maybe i am ; )): here's my first mixed associations: the valley of thoughts for me is an olympic valley ; )) (those rings!) inhabited by athletes of both sexes (the arrow vaguely reminiscent of the sign for male…) using elavators (the up and down movement!) to get places… shifting signs, shifting perceptions ; ))… interesting and thoght-provoking as always! lg, sabine.
