Situated in the "Carnival Triangle" Cologne, Düsseldorf and Aachen, I could have had the best opportunity to bust my SD Card with hundreds of carnival shots. But due to the weather with heavy storm and rain several parades had not taken place. So I went to one nearby - until it rained - to challenge my camera and this was the only really accetable portrait...

Wow, a great portrait! Not just "acceptable"... :-) How she hold her head, the slightly darker background, the sharpness... I think, it couldn't be better!

This one is far beyond "acceptable". Its very good.
I´d like to see some "not so acceptable" results. I guess, it would be better than I could have ever done it :-)

  The first challenge was the first testing of continuous AF of my new camera without reading the description before. Would recommend to read before testing...The second challenge is that I had to step into the parade (about 7000 participating carnevalists) and walk backwards always being aware of risks behind me and keeping the dancing participants in the frame.
  Most of the shots were not sharp....
